Dr. Bayero Agabi (Executive Director)

Agabi has over 25 years experience in broadcast journalism and sits as Executive Director for Center for Cyber Awareness and Development. Bayero Agabi is also the Publicity Secretary of THE NIGERIA INTERNET GROUP, and Vice Chairman Business and Technology publishers’ foundation. He is well known as Nigerians leading ict broadcast journalist. Bayero Agabi is a pioneer of ICT on television.

Some of his awards include Nigeria Computer Society Presidents Award, Excellence Award from Association of Telecoms Operator of Nigeria, Nigeria Computer Society as Best ICT reporter for three years consequently both on Radio and Television, Excellence Award from International Federation for Excellence. Bayero Agabi is the convener of Nigeria Digital Innovation Conference, Cyber Nigeria Forum, ICT and the Nigerian Environment. Agabi is the immediate past President of School of Media and Communications Alumni Association of the Pan Atlantic University (PAU)

Bayero Agabi is a member of IDPM Institute of Data Processing Management Nigeria, Regional Coordinator Africa Media Trainers Network (AMINET) under UNECA, and the pioneer Secretary General JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE ON ICT AWARENESS AND DEVELOPMENT. (JACITAD) and NIPR

Bayero Agabi has presented papers and chaired high profiled events such as US embassy organized CTO youth forum on entrepreneurship, ICT in education seminar organized by Covenant University, Beyond Broadcast organized by NTA, the prestigious e – Nigeria conference. Etc

Hilary Damissah (Director of Operation & Strategy) Hilary Damissah is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management Africa (FIIM) Africa and has over 20 years of journalism experience. He presently heads the operations and strategy of Center for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD). He previously worked as Managing Director, Elations Communications, News Editor, StarBeats Weekly and now oversees the editorial duties including, AIT Infotech Network, Cyber Africa News and Enterprise Africa Tv/Magazine of Transatlantic Media Company. Cyber Africa is focused on the use of technology for development in Africa and aims to connect Africa with the new age through balanced reportage of issues and Information Communication Technology initiative particularly in Africa and the world at large. Enterprise Africa is a publication showcasing Africa’s strides of progress through its lifestyle, businesses, entertainment, destination, education and innovation.

Hilary holds a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language (BA Hons) both from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He possesses a knack for very thorough and expressive use of the English Language coupled with a rear ability to deploy the aesthetics of language for effective communication. In 2010, he wrote his first full length novel entitled; Nemesis At Cross Road.

He is the co-initiator and coordinator of the Ghana/Nigeria Tourism and Culture Showcase, (GHANIGTCUS) the first privately organised bilateral arts and cultural forum in West Africa which has now transmuted into a full regional event as West Africa Arts & Culture Tourism Showcase, (WAACTS). He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the Joint Action Committee on Information Communication Awareness and Development (JACITAD) and the Director, Information and Strategy, Int’l Youth Congress, Nigeria-a Charter of the IYC Inc. USA, member of Nigerian Union of Journalists, a member of PEN, Association of Nigerian Authors and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria.

He was honoured by the Megaphone News Agency, OAU in 2005 with the Distinguished Meritorious Service Award for outstanding service to the Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a very well travelled journalist and has served in several committees including a member of the LOC of Nigeria’s premier international IT conference-eNigeria 2013.

Mojisola Alabi is a graduate of Accountancy and Finance and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). She has had working experience with SystemsSpecs, Juli Phamacy and Edgeline Media Ltd. She heads the stakeholder relation team at Center for Cyber Awareness and Development.

She has developed her passion for generating key leads and viable portfolios for the organisation. She has helped reshape the market visibility of Cyber Africa tv/Magazine and Enterprise Africa 360 tv/magazine.

Mr Abubakar Awaliene ( Head, Special Operations) Abubakar Awaliene is a graduate of Economics from the University of Benin, Edo State, South-South Nigeria. He has worked as key strategic development Manager with principal responsibilities to drive new product development and implementation. He is highly visionary at meeting client’s demands. Before joining Hafits Decode International Ltd, Abubakar has served as Team Lead of New Projects at Image and Public Communications Limited. Over the years, he has developed a strong knack and insight for exploring new markets and designing customer-centric programmes of international standards. He has worked on several programmes and projects including; Cyber Africa Forum and Africa Innovation Merit Award, Nigeria Mobile Economy Summit and Expo (NIMES), Nigeria Digital Innovation Conference. Besides he has worked on different projects with different Ministries, Departments and Agencies some of which are the Nigerian Communications Commission for the International Telecommunications Union 2015 NCC Special Documentary, also the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Transfer (NOTAP), Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) among others.
